lump in my throat...

up on the natural wedding company blog is our big day/our wedding detailed in all its glory by the lovely lady that is sharon lomas of fortheloveofvintage.  sharon nails it in her guest post and all i can say is that we couldn't have done it without her. have a read, i envy her love of her work. her crockery is just beautiful, fit for any bride or hen. sharon is a special lady.

below are a few snaps taken on the lead up and on the day, primarily by myself and the odd one by a friend with my camera, just to set the scene of the weekend a little, with outside inside moments, dogs and farm yard animals, children, good wine, friends, support, smiles and laughter. finally a dream realised

Le Weekend

It's been about re-living our big day again and editing video footage of the day's entertainment

Spoken from the Heart

Video footage courtesy of myself, and Photos courtesy of those lovely people that are  Emma Case and Mark Tattersall

I couldn't have said it better myself, the boys did a great job and re-living the words a few tears have nearly been shed.

Stuff and lots of Nonsense

Here comes the smiles again... oh I did have a good laugh putting this together last night, late night moves that were altogether not planned let alone them being interpreted as professional and while Vimeo processed the display, I slept well through the night, with eagerness in the morning to post to our Big Day Event on Facebook and Share. Yes Share, what on earth was I doing baring our alcohol fuelled souls to those who no longer had the stamina and left for the day!  So I share even further here... it will entertain someone's day for sure.

I am still hoping that the visuals will still flood in from all our guests and their interpretation of the day can be shared with all.

In the meantime, I will be compiling our thank you packages, yes I know we are nearly November but I did intend to stretch this day out for as long as was humanly possible.  I think I have succeeded.

ENJOY

Closer we get

Mine is the other half of me and we will be sharing a day very soon that will be the best we've ever had together...
39 days to go and of which the sum is the number of years that it has taken us to get there... Oh my word another 12 of those and we'll just be 1 year off our own silver Jubilee!
The prep stage really is drawing to a close, final chats are happening and nerves are not quite getting the better of us... But still all seems a little surreal. Dreamlike even! I tell you what I'll sit up in this cloud for now and smile for a little while longer.

Slipping away

Why does time have to just go so quick... it seems less than 5 minutes ago it was 12 months away from our wedding and now it's just over 3 months to the big day... Aargh.
Top that we got back from a week skiing with my brother just over a week ago and it feels like a distant memory. The white fluffy stuff was the best in recent years and Kai he's getting stronger each season. Another fabulous time was had by all and all were pretty morose on an early Saturday morning in les Menuires bus station. Most were thinking about the rolling mountains behind us and the fact that shortly we would be leaving them behind for yet another year... Boo, bah humbug.
So not that I want to wish time away but next holiday... I guess that's July and a good 3 weeks with the English lakes and Scotland in the mix... Oh yeah somewhere in the middle of that the ever impending deadline 6 July weekend... CAN'T WAIT!
