christmas day i can take it or leave it but the lead up to the end of the year celebrations is a joy to be a part of. i love the sparkle, the colour and the warm fuzz that you feel around the streets.
people really are happier in the lead up, really they are and you can touch inside and feel the warmth.
but most of all, i love a good christmas tree. tonight i wrapped a small christmas giving and placed all under our living tree that we bring in every year, i think it is 4th year running and i am hoping we get another year in the pot it's in or we may just have to go bigger or plant and start all over again.
this year its our first christmas married and the first without my little dad at the family home. i am trying to be positive and plans are to spend the majority of the day with dad, open all our presents with him and stay with him while he has christmas dinner. a special treat for him is an individual christmas pud from fortnum and masons... christmas would not be the same without xmas pudding.
with my dad relaxed and fully fed we will hop back to the house where tim will host a christmas fayre for me mum and he, my dad would not want for us to not carry on as usual, it will be hard but i will make a damn good go of it for him.
just like we did here:
