Jaunt on a Jersey Shore

After a lot of ups and downs over what to do as a single lady getaway and being priced out of a possible trip to Barcelona, me and my other half of madness decided to descend on the distant shores of the sweater isle.
Not knowing what to expect tickets, cars, michelin restaurants and hotel rooms were booked and we were ready to go this last weekend gone.
An early Saturday am start and a peruse around the myriad of bazaars.  Of course we were delighted to be milling with the fake tan brigade off on their package holiday delights in far flung places such as Lloret de mar and Benidorm?!
Then before we knew it, we were up in the air with extra legroom and back down before we could say "old Jack Robinson".
After many a "I should go down there and turn round" we found ourselves looking over a calm azure sea and pleased that it was only the two of us we had to worry about.
The sun kept himself out over both days and we had the most chilled weekend possible for us two.  I think it came with the territory, there wasn't anyone getting down and being funky.  But a smashing meal and plenty of vodka later we had put the world to rights and realised  how easy the whole weekend had been.
The other half of madness is now considering a drink thing in London... is that a wise move I ask myself?  Two weeks and three days to go before the "BIG DAY"... yes we are still counting.
