Team Buff 2012

Team buff lost one member last season but gained an old favourite, Kai's mum... we rode in  to les trois vallees via three modes of transport: taxi, train and the altibus, none of us wanted to be catapulted into the air and hang around on airport benches, so this was the way forward and it worked with a little flustering in Paris... but to be honest I don't think we did badly.

It was spring conditions which suited me down to the ground, less icy so a little slower, the boys were none too impressed and I doubt we will be going there at the same time again. 

So when is again :)... yes roll on early March Team Buff will be back!  Albeit a little smaller in numbers.  Mum wont be coming, someone has asked her to come later in the year to a big shindig so money is tight. Boarder boy Matt may also not be there, but I am hoping this isn't the case... he is taking a big step away from stability and comfort in 2013 so we understand, but who do I get to ski with? This is indeed the question! The two Ozzie rads will be back and the boy with go faster stripes Tim will be there to shake my nerves about and this year the old stoic Derek will be back, he decided if he didn't use his skis this next season, he may as well just sell them on e-Bay.

So this year three of us are on the Friday overnight train and the Ozzie rads will follow on the early Sat morning train.  I am hoping for middling conditions, none of this spring sugary white stuff but a little more snow than ice will be good.

This year I purchased a gizmo, I am lazy when it comes to carrying my skis and I will find any way to make it easier... I am hoping this gizmo does the job... watch this space I will let you know:
