I left my heart in this place this weekend. I know I will feel empty until I return to reunite myself with my heart and the place I feel most at home. If you haven't been to the English Lake District I suggest you add it to that ever expanding bucket list you have of must do's. I am lucky to have a second house in this beautiful part of the world and I would fight until the death if someone tried to take away my little part of peace.
Tonight I am back in London and I am already counting down the days until the weekend when we will be back, it may be a short blink in my existence, but that blink is enough to keep me sane in the dog eat world of London town.
This weekend was a beautiful one. The air was still and that sharp fresh twinge on your face and hands was apparent. The pictures you see here are of Blea Tarn looking over to the Langdales with an extra close up of one of the pikes there. Standing looking at this view on Saturday, I remembered what the Lake District does to me and I can but say it never fails to keep me in awe and wonderment. My place of comfort and joy!
